Being a receptionist involves meeting and greeting clients and providing excellent service to all veterinary clients that visit the practice.
Veterinary receptionists help to make clients and their pets feel at ease. Alongside arranging appointments and taking phone calls, their daily tasks include checking messages, stock control/selling items and processing payments. There may be a need to complete other administrative tasks such as sending reminders for preventative health care, stationery stocks, insurance forms, and exceptional record keeping.
This introductory course aims to give you a taster of what the job entails and prepare you for a role in the industry.
