If you would like to become a Nurse or start a career in the Healthcare industry,
then the Access to HE Diploma in Health Professions course is for you!

 

You may already know that in order to study at university for example to become a Nurse or Midwife, you need specific access qualifications. But did you know that you can apply for a place at university even though you don’t have A-levels?
You can take other entry routes, such as the Access to HE Diploma in Health Professions, which is an acceptable alternative qualification to A-levels.

Is this a recognised course?

Yes, our Access to HE Diploma course is recognised by the QAA (Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education) and therefore the ideal qualification in order to apply for university.

What will I learn on the course?

The course syllabus covers industry-related subjects, such as Human Biology, Psychology, Infection Control & Prevention, Sociology, or Health Studies.
Once you have completed the course you can apply for higher education degrees such as Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic Science, or Physiotherapy, only to name a few.

No, this course is purely assignment-based. There is neither an exam nor a practical assessment required.
Furthermore, you also do not require a work placement or employment in the health industry to complete the course.

How long does it take to complete the course?

On the condition that you allocate a sufficient amount of study time each week and commit to your learning, you should be able to complete the diploma within 12 months.
However, in the event that you prefer a faster learning pace, you might want to consider our Access to Higher Education Diploma (Health Professions) 6-months Fast Track option.
